Park Ridge Speedskating has a long history of producing some the countries best speedskaters. We also have some of the finest coaches you will find anywhere. All we are missing is YOU! Come join the fun any time. We practice at Oakton Ice Arena (2800 W. Oakton, Park Ridge click here for the map) on Tuesdays from 5:55-7:10 p.m. and Thursdays from 6:10-7:10 p.m. in the months of October, November, February, and March. In the months of December and January we skate on Tuesdays only at Oakton Ice Arena from 5:55-6:55 p.m. December and January is primarily long track season, so we only have short track practice once/week. Practice fees per skater are $500.00 for the entire season or $15.00 per practice session. A half season practice fee is $250.00 (October/November/December or January/February/March)
Who skates: We have skaters of all levels and ages, come out and join us any time!
What do I need to participate: Skates (any are fine), a helmet (bike helmet is ok), and protective hand covering, knee pads. Rental speed skates are available in various sizes. If you have hockey or figure skates they are fine to start off.
